Fire Fifty Philosophy

Who we are We are independents, many from the Tea Party movement, disaffected Democrats and unhappy Republicans, who are going to Fire Fifty members of the House of Representatives in 2010. The House needs some adult supervision. With a 50 member independent caucus, we control the House of Representatives.

What we stand for We agree on some core principles and agree to argue honestly on everything else. We make the following commitments

Why no other positions? Our core platform is why we run; our flexibility on all other issues reflects our humility and our practicality. We know that humans have much to be humble about, and we do not have all the answers. We need to be able to successfully contest seats across the country: West Coast to Northeast, Midwest, South and Rockies. Particularly Democratic rural and suburban seats in the Midwest and North. We leave the Blue Dogs alone, leave most Republicans alone, and focus on districts where we can win, not just advertently help the incumbent win reelection.
