How can you be an Independent and support Fire Fifty? At first this might seem silly, because of course we are a coalition of Independents. However, as Independents we have a problem; we usually can't agree on what's for dinner, much less achieve consensus on a winnable platform. That is the primary reason as a group we take so few positions(Fire Fifty Philosophy). We hold these positions dear, and we are going to achieve the goals embedded in them.
Independents have had very little representation in America, and it is time to change that. How about in 2010 we drive the bus for a while? The Democrats have shown that all they can do is hemorrhage your money. The Republicans want to tell you who you can marry but can't seem to stay within the voluntary bounds of their own marriages. It is time for some adult supervision in the House; you and we are it.
