Our overall objective is to uphold the ideals of the American Revolution: free individuals in a representative democracy, bound by the rule of law. Our immediate objective is to take control of the House of Representatives in 2010. Our strategy is to elect a caucus of 50 Independents, denying both the Republicans and Democrats a majority in the House. Ronald Reagan governed well with a Democratic House, just as Bill Clinton governed well with election of a Republican House in 1994. Having one party in control of the Presidency, Senate, and House is not good for any of us. The only way to change that is to take control of the House away from the Democratic Party in 2010. But do we give it to the Republicans? They have demonstrated their incapacity to govern as well as the Dems. We need independents, people who will put the interests of America and it's citizens ahead of partisan interests and their own self-interest. We are currently planning on contesting 75-80 of the 90+ races listed below. Join us; we need candidates, district coordinators, volunteers, contributors to the Wiki.
