Dede Scozzafava, for suspending her campaign. We hope she will work this weekend to send her supporters to Doug Hoffman and we wish her the best in her future endeavours. Update 1 Nov. Scozzafava endorses Owens.
Sarah Palin, for her willingnesss to lead from the front, to put her conservative principles ahead of party, and to help the Tea Party Movement change what people think is possible.
Three days to go, we need to Get Out The Vote for Doug Hoffman!

Was Scozzafava ever a Republican or planted by the Democrats? Who quits their campaign with just a few days left and then endorses the opposition? Look at what she and the Republican “leadership” did:
Owens got 61,666 votes or 49.2% of the turnout
Hoffman got 57,073 or 45.2% of the turnout
Scozzafava got 6,976 or 5.5% of the turnout
45.2 + 5.5= 50.7 and a win. As with many elections of late, not a mandate any way you look at it.
I fault those who voted for someone that was not even running or for failing to realize we are $13 Trillion in debt (among other things) for skewing this election, as well as the Republican Party there for running a lukewarm candidate who eventually (?) became a turncoat.
I commend Mr. Hoffman for standing up and doing as well as he did when he saw what the (D) and (R) candidates were going to be. To get over 45% of the vote the first time out in a short election cycle never wanting to be a politician from a virtually unknown party says a lot. In politics, like artillery, sometimes the first round does not hit the target. 2010 can be an entirely different ball game.
